While most kids were fixated on their TV screen, I was wondering how the images got there. I have always been hooked on what was going on behind the scenes. I wanted to see what was happening on that movie set, computer animation studio, or the writer's room.
My career has given me the opportunity to work across a spectrum of different kinds of media. While I enjoyed the challenges in the world of advertising and public relations, I found a real home in broadcast journalism. I'm a straight-forward person who understands how to work alongside all the different types of personalities in the newsroom, sales department, and advertising clients. The goal is to create the best product possible to deliver for the audience and station.
Every day is unique. A day slated to developing a news special or sweeps promotable piece can quickly shift gears to assisting a reporter with a data-driven news investigation, turning around animated graphics for a day-turn package, or diving into a breaking news situation.
When I'm not at the station, you can find me: planning my next travel adventure, hiking the outdoors, logging miles on the treadmill, or playing D&D.
At my house, you'll find a minimum of three cats and a dog. But that number can easily swell into the double digits when my wife and I foster animals.
