In a collaboration the FBI, we opened parents eyes to how dangerous criminals found a way to speak with kids in their own living rooms. |

An undercover investigation discovered policies meant to protect children, were being ignored. Kids are able to repeatedly get rides through popular ridesharing apps. Many of the drivers we confronted had no idea they weren't supposed to be picking up kids. |

In an emergency, it's not only time that counts, but the availability of life-saving tools. Public records requests uncovered a plan by a local school district was falling short of it's goals to outfit local schools with defibrillators. |

Just like restaurants, local school cafeterias are visiting by state health inspectors. What we uncovered, could convince parents that "brown-bagging" is a better choice. We also discovered how some schools did little to correct nagging problems, even after repeat inspector visits. |

RIP Medical Debt
One of the biggest source of debt in our country is due to unpaid medical bills. Through a partnership with a nonprofit, the station was able to purchase that debt for pennies-on-the-dollar, and then wipe it out. We were able to specifically target local veterans. With the help the audience, we raised more money and forgave millions of dollars in debt. |
